Had an amazing experience at this Japanese gem! The Wagyu tataki is an absolute delight – perfectly seasoned and incredibly flavorful. What's even better is the BYO option, making it an affordable dining choice without compromising on taste. great food, and a delightful atmosphere make this place a go-to for any Japanese cuisine enthusiast!
Loved my meal here! Food was amazing!
My favourite was the sea urchin sushi, volcano rolls and salmon and kingfish Ceviche. Those are the ones you must order when you come here next!
Ramen has slightly deep flavor with a strong smoky smell and not too salty, which is good 👍
Uni sushi is rich, creamy, and fresh, but I think seaweed interrupts uni flavor, so I recommend taking it off and eating after enjoying the uni flavor.
Salmon and avocado roll come with a sufficient amount of salmon you will like it!
I'd like to come again to taste the other menu :)
I was very impressed by the fresh thickly cut sashimi. I'd happily come back for the the Uni Kaisen Don, which had nice big chunks of sashimi on top of sushi rice, and topped with sea urchin bursting with flavour. This was a beautiful restaurant with great service
♦️Umaya Sushi and Sashimi $44.80
Salmon tuna kingfish and Scallop sashimi and assorted nigiri and sea urchin sushi.
♦️Uni Kaisen Don $29.70
Fresh tuna, Salmon, kingfish sashimi and sea urchin
♦️Chicken Katsu $17.80
♦️Karaage Chicken $14.80
♦️Seaweed Salt Fries $6.80

There is an extensive menu and I decide to go with the Deep Fried Octopus ($16) and the Wagyu Beef Donburi Set ($21).
The food was way superior to my previous experiences here. The Deep Fried Octopus was crunchy and delicious with the Mayonnaise sauce.
The Wagyu Beef Donburi was also excellent. A generous serve and the Onsen egg was spot on. A very enjoyable meal.
Highly recommended!
Unfortunately, this Japanese restaurant falls far short of expectations. The dishes lacked the authenticity and flavor that one would expect from Japanese cuisine. The service was slow and unresponsive, leading to a disappointing overall experience. It might be best to explore other Japanese dining options in the area for a more satisfying meal.
It's ok, not a place I would come back if I'm being honest. We had the set menu with the katsu don. The set menu (first 5 photos) are good albeit small, I would say $65 is pretty overpriced for that. The prices advertised are more mid to upper end and for those prices, the taste, quality and servings of the food fall short. The don had nice flavour - savoury with some sweet undertones but the katsu wasn't good. It seems they heavily dredged the chicken in the batter and it was served very soggy. Egg was delicious but the katsu being the main part of the dish was a let down. Serving size is very small for the don. Restaurant has great set up but the food doesn't exactly measure up
Average food at okay prices but nice vibe. Would recommend if you want a comfortable place to seat with a group. The Katsu egg don was a bit soggy but had plenty of rice. The soft shell crab sushi was not crispy and had a lot of floury soft batter
